Bank Muamalat approached me to design a new experience and solve some design issues for their internet banking and mobile banking app.
Issues
- The aesthetics of the old user interfaces were dated and very uncomfortable to the user’s eyes due to its lack of contrast.
- Lack of mobile friendly design to catered to growing mobile users.
- Lacks of the bank’s identity.
Design Process
Visual Design
Being a Malaysian islamic bank which values Malaysian’s culture and diversity, I proposed to the board of directors of the bank to incorporate design elements, such doodles arts depicting Malaysian’s culture and diversity.
Working with doodle artists, several arts were made and is incorporated into the design of the user interface.
